County Class and Seacat
« on: June 15, 2026, 08:56:42 am »

Thanks to the kindness of a gentleman on the forum I have some nice Seacat launchers to put on my destroyer as part of her renovation. The trouble is I do not know where to put them. I have looked at all the photos that goggle comes up with for the class but I cannot spot the launchers. The original model (1960s?) did not have such detail.

Maybe I should go to Specsavers!

Admittedly this a computer game generated pic, but it shows the launcher position reasonably well.

Thank you both, just what I needed to know.

Both very helpful, thank you. But you might just have made more work for me as I did not know about the space for a second Wessex, and as I have two Wessexs I feel obliged to use them.

That is both the most interesting and odd helicopter hangar I think I've ever seen on a warship.

I've observed some telescoping type hangars on Canadian Coast Guard ships, but the one visible here is truly fascinating.

Having to drag the helo up the port side then sidle it into the hangar...?  Wow!  Neat!
