I foresee a sudden surge sales for the 1/24 Airfix Spitfire kit.  :-)

Followed by lots of them appearing on ebay in an 'Almost Completer' status.  :-)

A couple of large deck vents, the first is read to be painted the second needs the vent doors to be added.

Those vents, like most of your deck items, look really well built - so, well done yet again. :-)

Cheers,

Ray.

Excellent work David. Good to see someone who still makes parts by cutting and glueing materials together.  :-))

Progress update, it takes a lot of time adding the finer detailing but getting there.

Hi, Which plans are you working from as mine shows two sets of diverts on each side of the hull, and no guns on the stern (Sirmar plans), just curious not been picky :-))

Hi Tomo,

My model is based on Jacobins HMS Active for the basic superstructure, but there after it is based on Actual photos of HMS Alacrity 1991-92 post refits. These photos are what I?ve been given from sailors that served on her.

Well, i have had to remake the after section of the flight deck  >>:-( >>:-( <*<  I stupidly didn?t cut the hole in the deck for the helo harpoon grid before I did all the painting and detailing.

So when I started to drill out the hole, I **** up as you can see in pic. So had remove the tie downs and then spend all yesterday and this morning remaking it.
