Prop mods
« on: December 03, 2007, 07:39:46 am »

Well, winter is here in Sweden, rescue boat out of the water and boat stripped down so time to look forward to next year.
I bought some ABC props earlier in the year to try on my Sigma from Dave. So far, just balanced and sharpened, they have been a disappointment compared to the Propshop and Octura but these have been modded.
Mod info about what works for the Propshop and Octura props is out there but not so much on the ABCs.
So, who out there is using the ABC props (specifically 3014, 2914 and 2716, all 2-blade) and what mods are you using?

Hi Ian,

not come across too many ABC props over here, and I do not have the knowledge to give you guidance on how to mod your props I am afraid.

I know of a couple of people who frequent these pages who can provide some guidance.

Good luck Ian

Up with the littl'un again ?

Ian,

Have you thought of trying "that other forum" - across the pond ?
Quite often see talk of prop mods on there.

Yep, it's coming O0 Hoped I might get a response here as well. I would like a little more than "contact Propworks/Dasboata/Mark Sholund/Voodoo/fill in your favourite modder here!!!!"

Yeah, I know that's usually the kind of thing - just thought if you asked specifically like you did here, someone might just give something up.
Glad you've got something sorted anyway....

Part of the bible Martin, I believe I sent that link to you a while ago ;) My current props use some of that stuff, the X mod (removing ears) really wakes up an Octura 470 etc and the back and barr cut frees up the Prop Shops.....
Glenn, that's the link I was going to send you....

Hi Ian,

correct, I was up with the little fella. He has decided that is fun to have a bottle at 2am then not go back to sleep until about 0530hrs.

Nice.
