Well I am back in the land of the living, I have had a bad case of influenza the last week or so, anyway back to the building as promised the next two photos are of the hull completely finished painting stickers and all. The top has been painted black and the bottom has been done in a red, the stickers were the put in place and several coats of matt enamel spayed over the lot, seems to stop the stickers from being damaged, Photo 1 is the two halves and photo 2 is joined..

Now all that is left is to install the water tight compartment and fix it into the hull, and then it is out to the water to start the balancing program..

You've done well Roy. She looks great!!!
I'm currently building a Steve Neill Blueback and I've ordered one of Dave's WTC kits like yours. I like!

Bob your not the only one lol , i've got the Trumpeter Seawolf kit so its not being left as a surface runner ( had another look at my Type IX and it would have to be surface runner only too small for a ballast system of any kind).

BTW how much does the WTC cost ??is it a kit or do you have to make the end caps , etc??

Hi Davie,

This is the link for the guy who made the WTC  for Roy's excellent Trumpeter sub, http://www.frontiernet.net/~bwelch/

The prices are cheeper than over this side of the pond, but then again you have to add the various shipping charges. The Sub Committe has some excellent links to suppliers of r/c sub bits. The only one I know of in the UK is Pandan who sell the Subtech range. Metcalf has the old Darnell range and no doupt there are others.

Hope this helps
