Ian - don't even JOKE about it  :o :o :o :o

You're right though, the success of OMRA has made it very difficult for any organiser to have 2 x 20 min heats.  That's why 1 x 30 min is becoming the 'norm'!  The alternative (to get all the races in) could be 2 x 12 or 15 min heats but then we're getting like the circuit racers and Naviga.  That's why so many racers run more than 1 class.  At least then you get more than one bite at the cherry.  If you've gone to the trouble of travelling big distances, maybe starting out before 6am,  it makes sense to have more than one boat as something ALWAYS goes wrong with one of them (at least in my case it does!).  Two classes with a one class space ie. "AA and B" or "A and C" or "B and D" usually gives you a break between races unless you go the whole hog like Bernard and race in nearly every class!  I'll be running A and C this year, with my AA as 'back-up' in case one of the others becomes terminally ill!  That will be enough to concentrate on (at my advancing years)  :'(

Curb your disappointment Simon - if you think I can keep both the A and the C going all year, you have more faith in me than I have  ::) ::)
You'll get your chance (anyway, it's that Mark Copley you have to beat)  {-) {-)

By the time the race end is sounded, everybody has finished their laps (could be 30 secs) got their boats in, collected their stuff and cleared the landing stage, the next lot have got on the landing stage, settled in and got their stuff out, had a quick start up, OOD has called out who's supposed to be there, sounded the 2 mins mill time, then waited 2 mins until the start of the race.......
there's your 10 mins - if your lucky!!

Danny,

Its only a bit of fun. I dont believe it will be competative, but will look nice!

Breaks up the boredom of sitting around all day for 1 30 minute race right at the end

It always start as a bit fun but is kinda addictive!

When it comes down to the crunch i guess i am just too competative. Just want to be the best at what i do.

Still got a few years to go before i catch up with rest of them though!

Evening Bill, just sorted out my new paint.

Ducati Red Bull purple base with a fleck and pearl mist. Then lots and lots of laquer! O0

Hows yours, put it back together yet?

That exhaust looked a bit nasty.

Know my PC will let me do what i want.
I think it will have to be 30min single heats unless we get a poor turn out on the day. During the 10 Min's change over all the boats failsafe will be tested. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

We are going testing again on the 26th at Brentwood if you want to come over?

Tony is coming up as well, Damens Makara will be on the water and hopefully my cat will be done as well?

26th sounds good to me. Got to do all my Gas course exams the Monday after so it will welcome divertion before the full on Gas bit. Let me have some directions nearer the time. I have been looking at a Sikk engine on ebay. Hum not sure what to do?? £135 +PP is very tempting. IT has got a Red head to match the boat. Very tempting. Do you think I would be able to get a fair price for my Zen if I sell it?

Damen will be coming as well.

A very good local mate of mine whoe is just finishing his Makara.

There may well be some of the local lads running as well. The multi boats!

Saturdays is reserved for power, the lakes is not massive and there are lots of buoys. Takes some skill but its good for setting up and testing!

hi bill, i am using a 26 this time i am curious to see how they go in comparison to the 27, if your getting it from the states ask him to put on the shipping doc, repair return to senders,so you have no import to pay on it...mad  :D  AL  O0 ;)

Hi Al
It's comming in from singapore . Not 100% sure to go for it yet. Not sure if it will be much better then my Zen 26 with a 257 crab which is on it's way from the USA. I have clocked my Makara with the old unkown crab at 33mph, I want to see how much it inproves with the 257. and of course the 90" header rather then the old header which blow last week.  May be it will be good with the 2 mods. If is then I may stick with the Zen.
