Most modern RN models are made from semi-kits which are hulls and fittings and you need to build superstructure yourself from the supplied plans.

Have you had a look at the Dean's Marine range?
I hear they have some fantastic new Chinese kits coming out sometime!

That link fails with "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded".

DeansMarine don't sell any modern RN ship kits at all. I raised this with them a couple of years ago when I was looking for a modern RN kit, and I got the response that no plans were available in the same way as for WW2 ships. But Jecobin sells plans for most modern RN ships that are accurate enough to base a kit on.

The Dean's Chinese kits are announced in the latest Model Boats mag, arrived yesterday. They recommend them for experienced builders. None are RN and no price quoted.

They were on display at Dortmund and looked fantastic. Highly detailed but IMHO would need very careful handling.

A complete modern RN warship kit just doesn't exist. Your options are a Dean's 1950' or 60's era warship or, a semi kit from someone like Fleetscale. One or two of their modern RN semi kits' such as the Type 23 Frigate Norfolk has a deck and bridge moulding available but, you have to build the rest of the superstructure yourself.

See here http://www.fleetscale.co.uk/system/index.html

TBH if you're looking to build a 3rd ship, you'll probably find building a semi kit with patience and care is not beyond you.
