Springer Tanker
« on: July 12, 2008, 05:58:54 pm »

I have finally decided to have a go.....I finished the case for my Lady T at 2pm and started the Springer at 4pm.

I am going to build her as the tanker "Tessa PG", which my son Mark (Footskijunior), is Chief Mate on. She is a gift for my grandson William, so have to get it done before Xmas.

A couple of questions. Made from 1/4 inch ply, what is the best glue for the hull? The PVA I have is not waterproof..

Secondly, I will need a cheap 2 channel radio. I have the two servos but will need a Tx and Rx. Any one got such things going? Condition does not matter as long as it works..

The PVA might not be waterproof, but when you glass / paint / seal the hull, the PVA will be waterproof as the water cant get at it.

Or you could use CA...

Do you get evo stick down there? If so, they have a waterproof wood adhesive, I use it a lot, its good stuff.
