Mantua Models Trotamares

This is my next project. I had hoped to motorise it, but looking at the drawings I am not sure I can see how to achieve this, although I believe it has been done. There were two at Leamington and I think one at least was powered.

Has anyone built this and added RC? Any pointers would be most helpful.
