... and to lower the tone somewhat, what about the 'unmentionables'. Have we covered those yet??

I mean going for a 'jimmy riddle' - which is obviously rhyming slang..  Now I don't hear that said much nowadays {-)

But then there's loads of others too..... apart from the universal 'can I have a 'P' Bob?'.... aren't there guys??  :-X

And an alternative for a "Jimmy" was a "Gypsies", short for Gypsies Kiss.  Also rhyming.

Maybe because of the 'Mark of Zorro' we used to leave on the side wall down the alley.

An ex RAF golfing mate of mine hits a shot that surprises him and says, 'Well I'll go to Hanover'. Anybody know what that is all about? Graham

I thought it was the name Gordon Bennett and when I went out for a drink with a friend to his work club he told me not to say that (I used to use it all the time) as it was his bosses name. My friend worked as a prison warden.

My Dad used to tell me that when he was a kid the polite way to ask someone if they need to go to the toilet was "do you need to wash your hands" his reply was "No I washed them on the ivy"

I like the Mike Yarwood version "This won't affect the pound in your pocket. That's as long as it stays in your pocket. Once it comes out - it's mine. Hehe!"

Probably more true than anyone realised.
