Dissconnecting a BEC

I am running two 600 motors with two ESC  running through a mixer, i would like to have a separate battery for the receiver where do i cut the wires before the mixer of after?  help appreciated, John

John, you don't say what esc - mixer you are using.

In the case of Mtroniks equipment then it is possible to pull the red wire and plug from the 3-wire socket that usually plugs into your receiver. If a mixer is fitted then its the wire that plugs into the mixer from the esc (same red wire). If you fold the wire and plug back and insulate it with PVC tape then should you require the BEC facility in the future then you only need to plug in the wire and plug previously removed.  If using 2 esc's then you need to do this on both.

proboat Tornado 50 is identical as well, carefully yank the red wire out and tie it back

If only I'd seen this before i snipped the wires on mine... Oh well. Out with the soldering iron.
