ARK ANYONE ?
« on: January 22, 2008, 10:55:34 pm »

O.K ! So there is all this wood washed up on Worthing beach. Right !
Us northerners are up to our necks in water, Can't somebody build an ark with all that free wood ?

Nothing exciting has EVER happened before in Worthing and never will again! As the town is a haven for the elderly blue rinse brigade there is little chance of the wood being stolen.

On 18 Feb. I shall be in Littlehampton so I will have a look at the beaches there abouts but if I "find" any planks it will be a little difficult to put them on my roof rack when I come home via the Tunnel.

Went to worthing once... it smelled very strongly of de-composing seaweed, in fact it really stank! I am told it is a feature of worthing.. apart from being totally dead.

Ah c'mon - you're a boat builder, you've got the materials - how difficult is it to knock up a punt and paddle your own way home (very cheaply)?  :D

I may actually need to go to Worthing tomorrow.  :embarrassed: :embarrassed:

Yoy have to walk in the road otherwise you may get run down by Jeremy Clarkson's grandad on one of those four wheel drive mobility trolley things.

Bognor is much quieter than Worthing but it does have Squires. Eastbourne is undoubtedly the capital of the Costa Geriatrica though - it's a bit like Italy. You know the saying - see Naples and die...

Littlehampton has vastly improved over the last few years but still reminds me of Sid James.... ::)

{-) I don't think modelling tools are going to be enough to build our ARK with all that wood !
Unless Squires sell chain saws and lump hammers ! ::)
