No, I did not tow with this tug anything jet, it is just balanced in the tub. There are installed ballast tanks, instead of 10 kilos of lead. It works great.I will go on the lake once it will be finished included superstructure and all details.

Those 900BB from Graupner are terribly expensive. There must be a good and cheaper alternative?

Similarly, the servos which Graupner offer for the Tito are very expensive. I know that a servo directly shifting a powerful Schotel Drive must stand up to a lot of vibration and be very powerful but again there must be a good alternative?

You are right, servos for Schottle drives are heavy duty servos, with metal gear and BB. I have there not so expensive Hitec 645 BB MG servos, working good. I did not used in my Tito any plywood, I do not like this material for ships, I make new deck and everything exposed to water by fiberglass, 0,8 mm thick. In the hull are installed two ballast tanks, instead  kilos of lead.I make them also from fiberglass. On the bottom of the hull are openings- inlet for water, on the top is vent pipe. Water is 2 cm below waterline, so they are full all time. I am happy with this system, water is everywhere for free, lead is always problem.

What size of Smit Mersey do you have? For so big motors? Alternate motors for Tito Neri and size as this are motors from car ventilators, or best one is from VW Touareg from powered seats. It is 12V MONSTER power BOSCH made motor

The other servos you could use in the tito that i have read are good for it is S3305 servos though they are just over £30 each, For my only test at the lake i used 3003 servos which worked but under fullpower and turning they sometimes wouldnt do it so had to back off then let them trun  O0

Im going to stick with the 3003s for now and then upgrade at some point later on

One of the best things i think that would be good for the tito imo would be metal props  ;)

S/S is painted now  O0 but iv run outa glue lol   :(

Deck is fiberglass, not plywood. It is waterproof, not so heavy and very hard. Covers for Schottels will be installed with silicone, not screws are used.

Hi

Took mine down the lake today first real test sinse its been semi finished, found some problems steerin servos are next to useless so they are going to be changed, and also after about 10 mins the speed controlers seemed to mess up,  just going along then one of them started going backwards and the other fowards   ???  was abit funny gettin it back as it just went around and around lol when pushin the stick faward  not sure how it did it as they are pluged in with a Y lead so hmm lol anyways once i got it back i turned everything off then back on and it had sorted its self out

also i need to hook the elecs up with a comp thingy to the s/s

oh lol duno how you lot use yours and not nock small bits off   :D
