Hi Timo2 and a warm welcome to the forum.

Have a look through these links:

http://www.steamengines.co.uk/BOILERS.htm

http://www.maccsteam.com/Horizontal%20Marine_boilers/Marine_boilers.html

http://www.stuartmodels.co.uk/inprod.cfm/section/boilers

http://www.monahansteammodels.com/boilers.aspx

http://www.modelsteamenginesuk.com/acatalog/Boilers.html

Of those obviously Monahan are in the United States so not quite as easy to deal with, Stuart tend to be rather expensive and are quite heavy so not the best for boat use.

The two most suitable for your use I would suggest would be either a Hemmens Ribbersdale or a Maccsteam horizontal.  I don't know if John Hemmens still supplies his boilers already clad with wood insulation so although the Maccsteam unit may be a bit cheaper initially you may have to take into consideration the fact that you will have to clad it.

There is also SVS who do not seem to have a web site up and running yet and I don't have contact details for them.

My own set up is a Hemmens "V" twin oscillator with a Hemmens Ribbersdale boiler which performs excellently.  Coupled with on board feed facilities gives it a duration of over 30-45 minutes before bringing it in to the bank for a gas fill, condenser empty and boiler top up.  This is pushing a boat that displaces 32 lb through a 65mm propeller.

Hi Bunkerbarge

Thank you for your reply

Have been looking at Macsteam Boilers, extra work all part of the fun, plus it makes it your’s.
Boat started to make The Ritalee launch plus 20% e.g.  38” long x 8 ˝”Beam.
Thinking about Steam output of boilers?
Engine is  8M 2vee (www.theengineshop.net )

P.S.  vertical boiler I think? :-\
