I'm not getting anymore than I ever did - then again hotmail does a good job of pre-filtering and AVG has a fairly effective spam filter.
I did get one suspicious one last week - it was an unsolicited kiddie joke page from someone totally unknown.  The kicker was that to see the answer to any of the jokes you had to click a link.  Anything like that is potentially DANGEROUS.

Bob, When I look at your profile I can see your email address - you shouldn't be able to see mine as I have ticked the account settings box which sayd "Hide Email". I only give out my email via Personal Messages when I'm happy with the person I'm giving it to.

according to my profile, I am already hiding my email address.

Any ideas why it can still be seen?

Bob, I can see it because I'm a Moderator (I think), you can see it because you are you but it seems that it is not now generally visible. Result!

Open your profile. Go to "Account Related Settings" click the box which says hide email to the public to put a tick in it. Scroll down to bottom of screen and click change profile. Done!
