Satin Acrylic Varnish
« on: January 30, 2008, 09:41:46 pm »

Hi Folks,

Can anyone suggest a source for satin acrylic varnish available in an aerosol. Not Plastikote - tried it and didn't like it.

Regards

You could try a local art suppliers, They use is to seal pictures painted with acrylic paint. But they are a bit pricey.

Flair Products Clear Satin FL6309 is enamel based but has always given me good non-yellowing results. See http://www.flairmodels.co.uk/Finishing/Paintframes.htm

Try Chestnut.

I have used the Satin Acrylic over Halfords spray cans very successfully. They do a satin and gloss acrylic.

Look under 'Products' -> 'Aerosol Lacquers'
