During the Mayhem Weekend we want to have a Grand Sail, as many boats as possible on the water at the same time, yes I am organising this as well.
If you want to take part in this event could you PM me with the name of the boat that is taking part and the frequency of the R/C. I know this seems to be a bit big brother but it is to ensure that when all the boats are on the water there are no problems. If we sort this out before the event any R/C clash can be dealt with.

Let us try and get as many boats as possible on the water.

Brian

Brian

Is this ALL boats or just Springers ?

If ALL boats, does this include Yachts at the same time as powered boats ?

I will PM you with freq when I have worked out what you are all talking about (straight runners + radio = not allowed / unheard of) Now my springer with a decaperm in, is that a) a super springer b) normal springer c) a bl**dy waste of a good decaperm

The Grand Sail is for all boats, it includes yachts unless there is a problem with yachts and powered boats together, in which case the yachts can have their own Grand Sail.

Stavros
Yes weather/beer permitting there will be a night sail, or a very late sail.

« Reply #107 on: March 13, 2008, 04:10:21 pm »

Lets make the weekend a BRING & BUY event too!.

If there is any room in your car or caravan, pack up all those kits and bits that you want to sell and I'm sure someone will have enough cash in their back pocket....!

Hey Ya65, don't be nasty. It's all for charity, what would you do if it wasn't for the Merchant Seamen, no tea, no coffee; not much fruit and so much more you couldn't do without, even your radio equipment for your modelling.

Alan, I've got a part built Huntsman with dog eared plans which somebody gave to me yonks ago. You are welcome to put it on sale at Allfold and keep the proceeds. Unfortunately I can't come this year as I will be away (missing Mayhem too) but I expect I could get it to you or one of the Southwater members easily enough - leave it in the Cafe maybe?

Cheers Colin, all donations accepted, but we also need those of you with the big fat wallets. There should be many great things on offer, an ex RN national service has just offered me much stock which I will have to pick up.
Ya65 if you want to donate the medal I will sell that as well {-) {-) {-). Now I'm only joking. No I'm not I will sell it if you want.
Alan
Oh, by the way I should, all being well be attending Wicksteed.
Sorry Martin, seem to have drifted away from the original subject, hope we can now all get back on track.

Have these dates been confirmed yet please ??

It doesn't appear on the calendar on mayhem or on the wickstead part calendar of events

I couldn't make sense of their comment on Caravans either - it seems they are only allowed after June 1st - does an outside event like mayhem get a special concession??

why is life so confusing

Hi David

Yes the dates have been confirmed, you will need to phone Wickstead Park about taking your caravan as it is out of season for them. Tell them it is for the Mayhem Weekend, you should not have any problems. Last year they took payment by credit card, not sure if they take cheques or if you can pay when you arrive.

See you there
