Kyosho Jet stream 800

Cananyone tell me what size electric motor  was used in the Kyosho Jet Stream 800 ? Thanks

Hi And Welcome.
Have just converted a 800s i.c to leccy useing a 700bb turbo (no gearbox) running on 14 cells.
Not tryed her yet first run this morning (sunday)
Will let you know the outcome (maybe some pics)

hi i have one of these and it is fitted with a le-mans 360st race motor.this was standard fitting from new cheers chris

Very happy with her had to try diffrent props s 30 was the best  :)
20min ish on 3000 paks  O0
Also a lot of success with my Manta (brushless) now on 16 cells went like stink :)

Thanks everyone for the info if Im able to get this boat I will have to install a motor and a radio system this is kind of a rescue mission .I live in Canada and its 20F to day time to spend on the hobby.

No pics of the manta running had to get someone on the t.x for me to take cr*p pics of the jet stream & they nearly stuffed that !
So g*d knows what might of happened with the manta :-\  nearly twice as quick.

What fuse are you running with this set up as it is nearly the same as my Shadow.

40amp i think prop choice is the main thing (revs up amps down) motor still cool after 15 min flat out.

Going to take the motor and e.s.c (brushless 3000kv 60amp e.s.c on 19v ) and try it in the jet stream.
I think it may work because the j/s is surfacedrive & lighter than the subdrive manta.
Any thoughts gents or just try it & see what happens.
p.s has anyone had dealings with a hydro rat hydroplane just got one @ a good price.

That should fine as both the manta and jet stream are about the same size, should go like stink if it works as the stock motor in a electric jet stream is only a geared 550.

She was 16 ic now straight drive not to bad on 700bb but i like experimenting  :)
