Hi there Mike
It is lovely to watch a professional build - I am one of those who is not too keen on 'modern' vessels tugs and modern lifeboats have never 'been my thing' but this age of lifeboat and especially the way you have built it with half frames, and assimilated calico between the planks - has the old grey matter thinking. One of the lifeboats (if I was to pick one that I like) or which one I would build either The Liverpool type lifeboat drawn up by Vic Smeed; or the Barnett Stromness type lifeboat drawn up by Vic Smeed again.....
mmmmm food for thought for the next build eh.
KEEP UP YOUR BRILLIANT WORK.
One question, did you coat the cotton with diluted PVA glue? Also, had you thought of using tissue instead of cotton? because, I am considering using this technique on my build but fear that the cotton would be too thick?
