Mart, First build was a wood Huntsman 30 years ago, with an OS 50.Second build was the same witha LEO46,(last year) so I have no experience of surface drive.Maybe next build will tempt me. It will be interesting to see your hydro on the Fleetwood lake on a windy day! The video you posted was great, but what do they handle like in a chop ?

Hi mate these thunderboats as they are known are suposed to handle plenty of chop, the guys in the states have just started a new class for them and apparently they have handled upto 10" chop pretty well, theyre nothing like the usual 3 point hydros you see.Speed with a stock zen is anywhere from mid 50s to  60mph too.Should be a fun boat to run and fast too, heres  a video of a race from the states.

heres another in some wind and a little chop.you might need to right click and save as then open and it should play.this one is a insane thunderboat in 20 mph wind.
