Surprisingly, that prop seems to be just about right. When starting up, quite a bit of prop wash until the boat gathers momentum and reduces as speed increases.

At full speed the model is over scale speed, but thats ok, better to have too much than not enough ok2

I was concerned that the prop size might be a problem, its got the biggest I could fit, 38mm 5 blade from Gsitek, but I was lucky!

Blue Marlin had her first open water submergence yesterday. The weather was a bit windy, raising what were large scale waves which made the operation a little difficult.

Conclusion is that submergence can only safely be done in flat calm conditions.

I have some pics, but they were taken at hi res and when compressed to a size for posting become unviewable. i will take some more at a later attempt.
