Okay, to the casual observer, they probably look okay..
However, when one undertakes the necessary research, we start to "look in depth" at the detailing of the prototype.
As we research more, and gather more and more information, we start to see all the little details that the casual observer misses. After all, the more we get closer to the subject matter, the more intimate we can get ( darlin :-* )
In effect, we become mini "experts" at what we are doing /modelling or researching..
I never used to do this, with any of my previous models, ( even when I used to build and review for MMi magazine ! ) oops my secret is out
This said.. I now find the research adds immense extra value to what I model.. and it seems you guys appreciate and notice that too. So the theory is sound
I thank my best pal Richard for this advice, the magic word is "research"... I would echo this advice to anyone building more than "just " a model boat .
