River Launch
« on: November 01, 2006, 09:11:08 pm »

Just a few pictures of my Metcalf Mouldings launch hull. I am doing this as a change from tugs built of plywood and plasticard, a bit of real wood!!. All timber sourced from Modelling timbers. http://www.modellingtimbers.co.uk.
Still looking forward to my next tug though.

I hate building hulls with a vengeance, but I know what you mean.

The glass hulls certainly make life easier, I am in the process of building a timber hull and it takes a while...

I have contacted several people via email so far mate, one replied and have not heard from them again, so I played around and cut out an extra set of what I had,  to keep for when and if the parts ever eventuate, with the freshly cut out bits I have played around with a variety of components and have figured out what I need and have started to piece the hull together, we will see what its like when finished and if not good enough for this boat I will make it into something else....

Or a fire raft, had one of them before as well, got sick of the thing took out the radio, put in a set of old batteries and a crappy motor set the rudder for big circles and started a small fire looked quite spectacular for about fifteen minutes before it sank..... ;D ;D
