I will making ratlines with a frame with cotton anybody know of which is the best glue to use

Many people use superglue, but for those allergic to it like me, white weatherproof PVA wood glue should do just as well and you can remove the excess with a wet finger, dries quite quicly too.

Colin is spot on there and don't forget to run your cord through a block of bees wax before using it. It flattens the "fluff" on the cord and helps with that "tarred look" at the end. (Sorry probably teaching granny to suck eggs.).

It would help my reply if I knew what you are building. If it is a ship that really needs rope shrouds/stays then use the jig and bite the bullet and tie hundreds of clove hitches with the tiniest drop of superglue to seal the knot. For my larger working ships I use solid brass wire for the shrouds and then find no need for the jig. Same solution for the knots though.
