hi built a couple of kits have a 55in.L.6.1/2in.w.container ship hull.real ship length is o/a 276m, b/p length 262m,breadth 40m,depth.24.30m. never built scrach before so bit lost can anyone help with scale .thanks

Convert the length of the original into inches. (262*39.25=10284). Divide this by the length of the model in inches (10284/55=187). Nearest "normal" scale is 1:196, could be 1:200.

276M = 10,866 inches divided by 55 inches = 197.56 I agree, 1:200 sounds about right.
Just wanted to work it out
