Hi Chaps
Just a few things about our beloved Association -
The new site is up so Bill and Ian (w3bby) should now be able to play with all the buttons to their hearts content (at last - sorry guys)
Thanks for your help and encouragement Phil - it really helped me keep going!  I didn't realise there was so much involved. Web designers (Martin especially) - respect
As the hosting company are changing the server, I've promised that I won't make any changes to the site this week, so any urgent messages will be on here (hope you don't mind Martin/TT) - you can all check what doesn't work on the site (ie the 'classes' button in 'About OMRA')    and let me know   -  I'm sure you can find some more, eh Dicky?

The entries for Telford stand at 44 this evening and are spread across the classes, so Giles is planning 2 x 15 minute heats - bring enough fuel (that will be TWO eggcupfuls in the sparkies)

John K-D would like entries in for Southampton asap so that he can get things organised.  There is a reduced rate of £2.60 for the days parking in the Mayflower Park car park, but you'll need a permit from John. He has also got sponsorship from LESRO and is having a perpetual shield for the overall winner (do we win overalls as well)

See most of you on Sunday.
Danny
BTW  You're welcome to join in with anything to do with OMRA - as it says on the packet!!

Nice one Danny it all works.
Did happen to notice that your directions for your Southampton meet are still wrong though. They should be:

From M3 take Westbound M27 and exit at junction 3. At the roundabout take the first exit onto M271 then, at the end of the motorway take first exit onto A35 Redbridge Road. Continue onto Millbrook flyover and Mountbatten Way, A3024, for 1.6 miles. Bear right onto West Quay Road (A3057) and at the next roundabout take second exit towards "Red Funnel Ferry Terminal". Turn right as if turning into terminal then turn right immediately into Mayflower Park.

Dicky
This is from the website -

Continue onto Millbrook flyover, A3024, for 1.6 miles. Bear right onto West Quay Road (A3057) and at the next roundabout turn right towards "Red Funnel Ferry Terminal". Its almost identical. YOU sent me the correct route ages ago and its been on the site ever since.  Have you tried pressing the refresh button on your browser? You may be viewing a cached copy

It's all this time you're spending identifying grey things - it saps your memory

I'll expect you on traffic duty, directing us in (and stamping passports, etc)

Danny call me pedantic Danny but where exactly is the M261 mentioned on your web site.
The next bit thats wrong is "and at the next roundabout turn right towards "Red Funnel Ferry Terminal". should read "and at the next roundabout take second exit towards "Red Funnel Ferry Terminal"
The next bit reads "Turn right immediately into Mayflower Park." should read "Turn right as if turning into terminal then turn right immediately into Mayflower Park."
Your website instructions actually read like the original not my directions.
Its all that paddling about in that wet stuff getting your boat back thats done it.

Forget about me being on traffic duty, with those directions you wont get there.

Just tell me WHERE IS THE M261 cause I aint heard of it.

No Offence Danny! :D It's my email spam filter. Occasionally it gets it wrong and inadvertently bounces legitimate mail. As I mentioned in my report, one of the drawbacks of having a public email address which has hyperlinks to it, is the inordinate amount of UBE [Unsolicited Bulk Email aka. SPAM] you will get as a result of spambots trawling websites for such things, to add to their mailing lists or to hijack for use as the source of spam. [the latter is a real b*llache and can get your email added to global blacklists].

It's a major problem and one which has no simple answers other than to try not to get your email address above the radar in the first place!

I have adjusted the settings on my filter now so you won't get bounced again!

Cheers
