prop sizing
« on: March 23, 2008, 11:21:27 pm »

this is a beginners question that i should know but have never been 100% sure of.  when buying a prop of 35mm in my case does the 35mm refer to the diameter or pitch. i ask because in a plan i had a look at recently the prop size was shown as 60mm which was rediculously large compared to the size of the boat hence thinking maybe it refers to the pitch.

It refers to the outside diameter of the blades.
Most scale props dont quote a pitch at all.
