Extremely well done!! And the interior is outstanding!! Most people wouldn't care to put so much work on the inside, but I can surely see why you did it because it looks GREAT!!! And the diorama... Well, can only say, congratulations on a fabulous build! Do you have more boats to show?

Thanks!
I have a couple projects posted at http://www.geocities.com/y2patmat/ , which often exceeds its bandwidth allotment...

Hi Pat.

As long as your pictures are a reasonable size there are no limits to the amount of space you can use on Mayhem. I am not sure about bandwidth though. We would love to see any of your builds put up on here. And with over 1900 members you will find a ready audience for your excellent modelling work.

As you have probably already seen, Model Boat Mayhem has a rapidly growing builds board, and we have even begun a Mastercalss section for exeptional builds.

We really welcome any member to post a build log.

Best regards
Mark

Just had a look around your site, very intersting browse over a cup of coffee!
I don't think we had Texaco model ships over here in Britain......

( Yes had a check back and yes the site is unavailable again, would you like me to host the pages on Model Boat Mayhem for you? )

Bandwidth: I mainly need to go back and compress a lot of the jpg's... will greatly ease the load. Just time, no time...

Another lengthy build thread, this one on Tian Jie's 1:144 Yamato, which effectively wraps up on page 17 at:

A couple more pix. The second gives some indication of the hull plating and riveting patterns... hull, deck, and cabin are fully plated and riveted per the original builder's drawings. Yes I was sore after doing all the rivets!

In general, I hate cowl ventilators. But these were easier simply because they were so big... and because they have louvered openings, so they didn't need to be hollow!
Built them up from ply formers... filled the spaces with balsa, sanded, sealed, and painted. No sweat!
