MFM osprey mine sweeper
« on: July 22, 2013, 01:30:50 am »

Hey all ive been away for a fair while but i thought i would share my current build with you . Its a Mountfleet Osprey . I am a fair way in to to the build , having only the masts and the ships boat left to complete , oh and a few fittings to make .
Having not built many model ships i found this one of the harder builds i have done , mainly due to the vague instructions . There are only 4 tiny pictures of the completed model in the back of the instruction manual . The arrangment drawing was pretty good though and i have managed mainly with just that to work from .
I have nearly come to the part where i need to make the sail and the book makes notes of refering to the sail drawing , yet it seems i do not have this drawing . Think i best give mountfleet a call .

Anyway heres a few pics of where i have got to so far .

Managed to get a little bit more work done on it last couple of days .
Lashed the last of the depth charges to the rear of the deck .
Made the binnacle .
Made some doors for the forward companion ways .
I also made a start on the forward mast .

Has  anyone here also built this model ? I could do with some pictures of the rigging arrangement .
