You will find a recent review of this kit by Dave Abbott on the Model Boats website which might help you to decide: http://www.modelboats.co.uk/ Just scroll down the latest articles.

Having got back into boating after a 25 year break I refurbished a scratch built yacht from my loft that really looks great but doesn't sail so well, though other racing sailers have given me some ideas to improve the performance) I was going to buy a ready to sail yacht but found that several I observed didn't sail well. Then I stumbled across this yacht at the Basingstoke pond and was just blown away by how well it sailed on light winds - in fact a nearly still pond. I wanted to build a J Class next winter and was looking for the next project. I like the look of the Robbe Emerald but I am now really intersted in shortlisting the Moonbeam. Apparently it's quite heavy. Can anyone else recommend a really great sailing yacht that doesn't have a really deep keel that will catch the weeds? http://www.mjed.co.uk/yacht1.html shows my current boat.  Mike

Have a look at victor-models.com V32 and some of the other boats that Victor do.

I know it is a Statside company, but they do ship.
