Hi
Any one out there know of any model boat sailing venues in the New Forest area of Hampshire. On holiday there for two weeks from 7-9-08 --already suffering withdrawal symptoms at the thought of all that time off the water.

Hi,

Try Setley pond. Solent radio control boat club meet there on Thursday and Saturday mornings for scale craft. You could however go there any afternoon. If you go on our web site, srcmbc.org you can get all the details. If you e-mail me I can give you a sat nav ref for the nearest house.

Having said that, where are you staying?

Setley Pond as Pete said is your best bet. But no I/C

Check out the SOLENT RADIO CONTROL MODEL BOAT CLUB.web site
www.srcmbc.org.uk

Bransgore is just of the Lyndhurst/Christchurch Road and Setley pond is just off the Lyndhurst /Lymington road so not a million miles apart.

SRCMBC lease the pond off the Forestry Commission and there are a couple of days a week which are reserved for the yachting types. This is all on the web site.

Come on a Sunday morning and say hallo.

Contrary to some opinions we are a friendly lot. O0

Hi Richard
The pond looks great and I will certainly pay a visit-- not sure if I can make it on Sunday due to family committments but will certainly try. I have taken note of your club rules and will obviously comply. l ooking forward to my stay in the area much more now .

                              Cheers
