I would also like to know what kit is this. Looks vintage to me. Is it even submerge able? Is that what all the fins for?
Now, please let me vent about the overblown price.. sry for for sounding a little harsh, but knowing next to nothing about subs,
i don't think it's worth $100 USD. you get the six channel radio which is worth $70, a sub hull, and some random stuff it will so
much pain waste of money to figure out how to get this to work. Looky here for how much goes into a working sub, and you
might as well get something else.. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=917946 (sry for linkin to another forum,
i know it's a big no-no, but this one is a primo build log with caps in the pictures and video)

Possibly this...?  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250300820965&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015 Looks pretty well hacked about though, strange join line to between hull/deck sections.

That does indeed to seem to be the same kit hull. I see nothing wrong with the hull separation, its the best way to do it with a Type 7 and still retain the abilty to insert the largest possible WTC without bowing the hull sides to sqeeze it in. Who ever laid up can cut the hull, did a very good job with that difficult cut and didn't take the easy way out like every one else with a high (to clear the tapered rear end) horizontal cut.  Though the supplied WTC is much smaller than what the hull can accomadate. Its clearly stand off scale, but if that does not bother you it seems a bargain even at the BIN price for nearly a complete kit (looks like you only need a motor and some seals). When you consider the price of converting them plastic kits, and the cost of GRP sub hulls, this seams very good value, especially as includes the raido gear  ;)

Bit broad across the beam- looks more like a Milch Cow than Type VII! Still if you're not bothered by scale fidelity, it'll work well enough I reckon.

The dive module/wtc looks like one of Dave Welch's RCABS's units.

I'd say that was a kit better aimed at someone who has already built a successful working submarine, or at least can get advice from someone who has. You still need to add batteries and drive motor(s) by the looks of things, so I'd add another £30-40 to the cost to get it into the water. Not bad- you'd struggle to scratch a sub for less.
