Did Mamod ever make a "good" steam engine ie. non oscillating cylinder?

Now, Now, Martin. IKB used oscillators in the Great Western. Nothing wrong with oscillators. I think some of the parts Mamod used in their little locomotives could have been adapted to make a very nice small marine engine.

The latest Mamod engines are non-oscillating types with eccentric valve gear

Can only find a bad engraving of Great Eastern's oscillating paddle engines so far (copyright NMM) - GW's screw engine was an inverted vee four oscillating engine with the crank shaft at the top and a chain drive down to the paddle shaft. I will have to try and find the pics but I can't remember where I saw them.
