Hi Mikeflyer...don't do it! Get out now whilst you still can, model boating is highly addictive and can damage your bank account! Trust me...I know.  %)

I don't know your area very well I'm afraid, but someone will be along soon to put you to rights. Good luck with your new hobby, and welcome to the forum.  ;)

Hi there
there is 2 clubs in your area (I think)
St Helens and Southport
If you check the section for clubs it will help

mike, i suppose your nearest club would be Southport mbc who have a web site and a (last time I heard) thriving club, one of their annual events being the National Lifeboat Regatta.
I'm sure they would welcome you
Best Wishes

Mike,

I think there is a club in Ormskirk, though I'm not sure they have any water. Maybe the local paper would help with a little piece saying you are looking for a club? I used to live in Aughton, but wasn't modeling then.

Hi Mikeflyer and welcome to our mad world.

There is a club on Ormskirk, called the OWLS, Ormskirk and West Lancs Society, I think they meet at the British Legion Club. I have a friend there, but don't know too much about them as I live in Scotland.

Good Luck  :-))
