Yes I thought the D10 looked out of proprtion to the hull.  I'm glad to hear an expert like yourself is pleased with the Macc boilers.   I've not steamed mine yet but the workmanship looks excellent and Martin was very helpful with advice and a steam manifold so that i could fit a Cheddar EGV and a whistle to it.

Next week I'm working away but have assembled planks etc do do the boiler cladding while I'm away.

Cheers

Just following up on the other engine link posted by Tester and the hint from Bogstandard:
Mirander http://www.myhobbystore.com/1933/Colyer-Miranda-Steam-Launch-MM1348.html
Engine http://www.myhobbystore.com/1934/Colyer-Miranda-Steam-Engine.html
Both by Basil Harley to give credit where credit is due.

Thanks to both above as I have one of these engines and had no idea of its identity. However I am short of the burner so a picture of that would be most welcome.  :}
Also more clues on the actual issue of Model Boats it appeared in would be nice. '70's ? Chances are I have it somewhere or the issue either side but not that one just to be annoying.
