Frequency Identification
« on: January 12, 2009, 09:53:55 am »

As I now have two boats ready to test on the local water, I will be using my new 40mhz FM radio gear, both boats have the same CH51 (40.675mhz) and the Xtal is coloured Blue. What do I have to display on the end of my transmitter antenna (apart from blue ribbon) i.e. something to show I am on 40MHZ FM rather than 27mhz ?? Cheers, Dan.

Hi Seaspray - you don't display a blue ribbon.  You display a ribbon with the frequency - last three digits - in white on a green background. Coloured flags are for 27Mhz.

Hi Sea Mariner

This topic came up a while back.

There are some suggested ways of making flags in here.

Hi sea.mariner
You need to display your frequency in either white or black lettering on a green background.

I printed mine on the PC then laminated them, punched a hole in one end and threaded string through hole and then tied to the antenna :-))
