I just wanted to jump in here and let you know I'm alive! My name is Mikey and I go by Mikey when I'm runnin the boats, but online I'm Anchorboy46.
Anyways, I'm 53 years old and live out here in Crockett,Texas and there are a lot of really nice lakes and ponds for running boats!
One of the reasons I joined your club is I'm trying to find out if anyone has ever built or knows where I can get a Caltex, Lumba Lumba model boat originally put out by Sterling or Dumas. I think it was Sterling.
My father had one when I was a small boy and he died and his third wife got all his R/C stuff.
I also have a lot of r/c airplane engines and planes and boats. I like both gas and electric boats, and just gas airplanes. I like control line, R/C and tether. I have a lot of Texaco tanker ships- orinally put out by Wenmac. You got them at the gas station? Remember those? I have about 20 of them. Also, Water Wizard boats put out by Cox. They have an .049 airplane prop engine on the back. There are over 50 Cox prop rod cars here as well. In fact my whole house is full of R/C planes,cars and boats. I'm not trying to brag, just lettin you know what a nut you got for a friend now! lol.
