Thank goodness...
« on: May 11, 2009, 06:09:25 pm »

I know divorce and separation are not a subject for humour but:
"Katie Price and Peter Andre have announced they are separating after almost five years of marriage."

.... has it only been 5 years... it seems so much longer than that!

As for her out of big brother who died of cancer. I got sick and tired of seeing her on the front page.  why can't the press have left her in peace.  the day after her death, she had front cover + 4 other pages. buried on page 7 was a plane crash in japan involving a DHL MD11, and buried even further back was news about british troops getting killed,

and now they have found YET ANOTHER celeberaty to have a gawp at.

out of all the mirriad of news,  im sure there is more to fill the headline grabbing front page of the daily news instead of jordan and peter andre getting a divorce.  i think they chose them cos its easy news.

SO WHAT!!, [/b] they're having a divorce!

tabloid newspapers, who needs em!

Without that press there would never have been a marriage.., why else go on celebrity  !!!  jungle please leave them in there.. ( or thats what it should be called)  lets face it the Whole thing was one big staged event , they took the film crew to the wedding, the honeymoon, a few other places and now they will get a deal for the divorce  ..Cash Cash Money Ca-ching..(good song as well)   But I'm not cynical...

She played the press at their own game and in that sense she won, you can't say to the press follow me and then say I have had enough, its a shame she died but she courted the press to insure that the kids were financially sound , they were stupid enough to pay for the storys, the public were stupid enough to buy the mags , catch 22 really.  Yes the stress probably did not help her illness , but (in my untrained medical view) would not have made much difference.

Shouldn't this be in the 'I don't believe it' or 'who gives a s**t' thread'.

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/celebrity/pretend-marriage-on-made%11up-rocks-200905121755/
for a cogent, lucid slant on the non-event.  As likely to be true as any other reporting on the subject.
