Assuming we are talking the WWII boats, Glynn Guest did a plan for Model Boats in June 2006 so he may have some photos. Those with the article were just of the model. He's on the forum as GG I believe.

Richard,

The hull is perfect and the wheelhouse, but the from there back is totally different
from the plans I have, in the last pic the guys seem to be standing in an area that is
shown on the plans, the yellow roof does not appear to be shown on the plan it is
an open well deck type area...............

Thats all I could find Roy, the well deck appears to be behind the cabin with the yellow roof.

Hi Roy
No doubt you've already seen this model
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBvrDQYIXIQ
and there is this newsletter which has some information
http://www.warboats.org/images/pdf/CrashBoatNews07-03.pdf

You might also try putting a question on RC Groups to get more info.

Roy

The 63ft Miami RAF rescue launch from WW2; They were mainly built by Miami Shipbuilding Corp. They are also known as 63ft Crash Boats, or as AVRs, ARBs, ERBs, CRBs, RPCs, PTCs etc. depending on whether you are a South African, an Australian, a New Zealander or an American. The boats were built in many different versions. The position of the sick-bay and well-deck depended on the propulsion variations.
RAF 63ft Miami HSL series II numbers 2515-34 had 2 handed Hall Scott Defenders situated right aft, driving through vee drives, and as such had a well-deck between the sick-bay and the engine-room. The RAF series III boats also had Hall Scott Defenders, this time driving conventional shafts and as such the sick-bay was behind the central engine room and ahead of a small aft cockpit. The numbers for this series were 2535-45 and 2643-50 and 2738 and 2779.
There is plenty of stuff on the 'internet dealing with these craft paper plans are available for purchase for the RAF version at least, here

Danny,

Thank you for the two leads, unfortunately the second would not work for me.
But the one on youtube seems to be the same as the ones Richard has put up photos
of, which is slightly different to what my plans show........

cdsc123,

Thank you for the information, I have a set of plans that state it is the RAF
version, but so far the plans show the deck arrangements a little different
to any of the photos pics and such that I have seen, that is why I was enquiring
about the boat, I have the hull and wheelhouse built but the rest is a bit
obscure on the plans .............

i built this boat from the free plan set out of the boat magazine, and she sailed well, thought about scaling her up to 1'24 th, then could add more detail etc, built the hull, but then put it aside as i started building 70 ft vosper mtb, one day get around to finshing the Miami crash boat off, looking at the myhobby store, i see they have 1/24 th scale plan, and its 21.5" long,  shouldn't that be 31.5" long

There are some photographs in the book "The RAF Air Sea Rescue Service 1918-1986" by Jon Sutherland & Diane Canwell, also there is a nice colour plate by John Prichard in the book "Royal Air Force Rescue Boats of World War Two part one"" by Geoff Pilborough, colour plates by John Prichard . And i suppose you know or have the plan by John Prichard

Perhaps the photos you have are for one version and the plan is for the other, as mentioned the RAF used both Mark II and Mark III versions in the usual RAF colourscheme (the Mark I being the South African version in grey).
