Steam Project

Good evening, a few months ago I asked for advice on picking up a staem launch listed on EBAY US. Well I did buy it and have been working on a rebuild of the interior and engine space. I'm finally at the point of varnishing the wood, then its just the details.

A few photos follow, the boat is not a representation of any known boat, but what I would consider a river cruiser with a "Turtle Back" aft cabin built at 1:12 scale. Now to make the steam engine run....

Hi Bernhard,

It isn't a Midwest kit, it is 51" long and the hull is made of fiberglass. It looks like it had a coaming or cabin on it at some time and the interior was in bad shape when I started.

Looking good so far, don't forget the photos of the really interesting bit, the steam plant and controls, when you get that far. Cheers, Ian.
