where to get props
« on: June 07, 2009, 08:19:42 am »

Hi, anyone have a suggestion of where to get pair of L & R handed 30mm props, plastic ones.
I keep looking at web sites but don't seem to find them.
Please don't suggest redbank, they had my money for over 2 months {:-{ and I just got many excuses  >>:-(, had to pay for many phone calls  >>:-( and even got charged to get my money back >>:-( >:-o. Will give up boats before I use again. (rant over)
Any decent supplier will get all my future orders. :-))
It's a pity harlow shop closed, but I hear new shop near to southend has opened :-)), anyone know about it ?

If you ever consider a brass alternative, try G Sitek, excellent and not expensive either!

Try SHG Models - although their brochure doesn't seem to list plastic props, they often have a selection for sale at the Shows they attend.

Thanks sheerline, but I need 4 & brass at £5 each is a lot when your giving the boats away.
They are for young un's who live in a place for "not cared about kid's". I got to know them and made a boat for one, then another, and now 2 more. What have I started :} :o. I just can't seem to say no and they get a lot of pleasure from them and are so grateful . One is now having a go at building.
Also them in charge think metal props are too risky. Health & safety  squad. So they need to be plastic.
I'll try cornwall as suggested unlees anyone has any other idea's
