I found these images while tidying a photofile at work!

This is the 1/10th model of Yamato in Kure, Japan - not new, but I thought you might like to see the pictures and imagine making one like this.

How many Andy's would it take to plank the decks?

I don't know is the answer.  The museum opened in 2005, so some time before then, and the Museum commemorates the Skills of the Kure workers, so I would expect that it was locally made.

Hey, this is MB Mayhem - there will be someone living 100 Metres from the museum whose second cousin built it!

There is also, in the Museum or near it a Full-size layout of the foredeck - I think from A turret forwards.  I have seen pics of it; LARGE

I thought I heard a muffled hibernian thump and a sussuration of flowing locks.

C'mon fellers, Its only an area similar to Rutland!

This would be a big extension of the OCB (Offspring Controlled Boat) to a model that could take the entire community on an outing. 
Not sure it would fit in my Espace, tho - might need the Grand Espace :}
