« on: June 19, 2009, 06:59:49 pm »

Anyone tell me how the  %) :police: %) I order stuff from SHG? I'm trying to order the props and propshafts for Titanic...their new website has been under construction since the year dot, I get no replies to my emails or phone calls...has everyone died up there or something?

I think SHG, in line with a lot of smaller vendiors find it difficult to man their phones and e-mails continuously when they are up and down the country attending shows etc.  I think there may be a good chance that they are at Doncaster this weekend so maybe a bit of patience will provide a response.

I know in this day and age we all expect things to arrive on our doorsteps instantly and some on line vendors are able to do that but not all can and certainly it is more difficult for the small man and wife run busineses.

I sent them 3 emails over two weeks then saw them at the Harogate show a week later, and after complaining I got a curt we are very busy ,so I informed them I will be to busy to buy of them in future, if they don't want to reply to emails they should get rid of there email address.

Too much of this crap going on in business now a days.

Taking the money and its not even in stock or something or other. If one company can do it then so can the rest.  {:-{

A little update on SHG. I placed an order in May via email and have still had no reply. I have just rung them and found Mr and Mrs Grainger to be very helpful indeed. They have explained that the email system does not work, duo to them changing server which will not happen for a short time yet. They also told me that this was causing them serious problems with the business in lost customers.

I asked for some advise regarding motors and gearing, which actually reduced the cost of my order and Mr Grainger is putting himself out a little in order to provide me with a rudder support that he does not actually stock. I have placed an order and been told that it will probably be dispatched tomorrow. I am very impressed by his attitude and level of knowledge. Hopefully they will deliver as promised. I will let you all know..

Sue Grainger told me yesterday at Doncaster about their problems with AOL and that she didn't expect their new E-mail to be fully up and running for a couple of weeks yet...

If anybody has any problem with outstanding orders on SHG Marine, please feel free to PM or E-mail me with details and I will happily pass on any messages.

Regards,

Malc

Well today....August 21st 2009 I received my prop, ordered from SHG...... in May 2009.

The only thing I can say in their favour is that they did send part of the order after 5 weeks and did not charge me until they dispatched the prop.

Do we have a record here??

Hi Guy's

Contacted S.H.G last Wednesday  to order a spare T/X. I received it on Saturday morning. Surely this must be good customer service. I placed my order  by phone and not by E/Mail.
