« on: June 24, 2009, 04:06:19 pm »

Guys saw this on ebay :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=170339891479
can anyone let me know if it would be suitable for building a PT boat or MGB?

If it's intended for a Vosper Perkasa, I'd imagine it would be quite suitable for a WW2 MTB or PT boat. The basic shape is very similar, though the Perkasa is quite a bit larger (the 1/36 scale, 32" hull would work out at about 1/27 for a 73' MTB and 1/30 for an Elco 80' PT boat); there are no doubt many subtle differences in shape and proportion,  but for a working model this won't be too noticeable.
