First Build: HMCS Kootenay
« on: July 13, 2009, 09:22:05 pm »

Hey everyone, just starting out on a project to build HMCS Kootenay, WWII D Class Destroyer. I'm going to use the Deans Marine HMS Daring Model as the base.

I just have a couple of questions, 1) Is this model any good? any experiances or comments?

and 2) What is the difference in paint and flags between the RN and RCN during the war? All I know is that it was the Canadian Jack but i'm not even sure about that...

thanks for the feedback...

The Canadian Jack has the Canadian coat of arms in the shield.

WW2 Canadian ships flew the good old White Ensign

They also flew the Blue Ensign as a Jack whilst in port
