flying drake tug plan

hi i have just aquired a model of the tug "flying drake" it has been in a loft for about 20 years and is only part complete,,allthough it has most of the parts to finish the boat i need the plans to complete it,,can anyone out there please help as i have bought it for my hubbys xmas present..she was built in clyde shipyard in 1956.and the model plan was originally by phil thomas of norfolk ???

Metcalf Mouldings make this now .

thank you richard but i have tried that ,they only supply very poor part kits made from old castings and they are not a complete kit and no plans...i will keep trying...thanks again....heidi.     PS got to be the first to say it       "MERRY XMAS"

This tug plan and kit was originally from Ivor Broughton of Boats and Models,the company and all the rights to manufacture were bought by Metcalf Mouldings in 2002, so you should be able to get the plan from them.

Heidi,
Try this one then.

This diesel powered tug was built in 1956 and worked on the Clyde. Model is from MM1176 plan drawn up by Phil Thomas. Her sister ship the 'Flying Duck' was a design featured in "Model Boats" in December 1973. This article included several photographs of the deck layout.

Above is a quote found on Google. You should be able to get the Marine Modelling plan, if it isn't the same scale at least you will know what it looks like and the scale can be changed. I don't know if you can still get the Model boat magazine from December 1973, try a wanted on the forum.
