Hi Chris,
Try to contact Ray Malone (Ray111) via Model Boat Mayhem.  He has built some of these tugs and I am sure he will help you.

probably the most famous of all these tugs was the M.V. John Henry ... Known  by any Canadian as the PERSPHONE (per-sif-o-knee) ..for her size she had some grunt ..

Cant speak for other's ..but many a Sunday night glued to the T.V. .... The Beachcombers' was an immensely popular family adventure series which aired on CBC from 1972 to 1990. The series holds the distinction of being the longest-running drama on Canadian television.

Those little boats are often used at the hoarding area ..to keep the logs moving along sorting/ feeding the forwarder/conveyor and such ..
By the initial thread Im assuming that the tugs that actually tow the log boom is whats in quetion ..

Steamboatmodel(Phil?) sent me that and a couple of other diagrams.   I built one, using a Graupner Schottel Drive unit, and it works well, on 2.4Ghz we use it at our club as a recovery boat.   Pete M
