I got this cheap little electric R/C boat from Walmart. Can I gut the R/C stuff from it and install it in my Good R/C boat I'm building ? it has twin 300 Graupners in it... Anchorboy <*<

I think it's more usual to put good radio gear into these ready to run boats.

As funtimefrankie has said, most folk do as you propose but the other way around! The radio gear in these toys is usually cheap and nasty. It has limited range (even for boating which does not require the longer range needed by the fly boys); it is usually fixed to a single frequency and therefore cannot be used readily when others are sailing; that frequency may not be one of the standardized, legal frequencies. You are unlikely to be able to obtain spares or compatable servos.

Some modellers like the boat/hull and strip out the electronics and replace them with reliable, standardised gear.
