The magazine and plans for the ferry arrived today, so now I can begin to work out what I need to make a start on the build. You all know by now that when it comes to working with wood I'm pretty sort of useless. I can't even draw a straight line on the stuff, let alone cut one, so I plan to use as much plasticard sheet, strip and rod as I can possibly get away with.

GG did give me his permission to alter the plan as I need to, so the first change will the addition of a bow rudder. That, along with the bow thruster and independent motor control, should make the ferry as manoeuvrable as the full size ones are. Hopefully I can add working lights(internal and external)plus sound effects of some sort...looks as though next months pay cheque will be going straight into Mr ActIon's bank account....again.

U33
Slight correction, no one needs my permission to alter the construction of any of my designs.
Each model ought to be a unique expresion of the builders skill and ambition, rather than a slavish copy of someone else's ideas.
Good luck with your build.

I stand corrected Glynn...mine will be based upon your design, but I do tend to get carried away at times... :embarrassed:

Thanks for the good wishes, I'll keep you posted as to how I get on.
