She was given to me about 14 years ago by someone who had her from someone who emigrated to Australia. I have a notion she was a London based straight runner. There is a box inside which might have carried one of those 1950s glass rechargeable radio wet cells. The props are unusual - cut from flat with circular lobes on the blades. I think she would look rather fine with a varnished wood wheelhouse with a curved front, as a"Long Island Express" rich man's commuter boat. (Ask your Dad or Grandad!)

It certainly looks like a straight runner from the early 50's a you say, I'm guessing she is around 3 1/2 -4ft long.
She would look good with all the varnish and nice bright white paint work. Let us know how you progress.

Had to get the tape measure out - 61.5" LOA and 9" max beam at deck at break of fo'csle. I see I acquired a car heater motor at some stage, and a one into two gearbox made for some young friend's GCSE Tech project - and a TVR1A kit has just cleared customs today, so maybe it's time to get her on the workbench. I think more rudders will be called for, or a very large pond!
