I'm not a 'expert' yachtsman but have 3 yachts which I've rigged thus:

The servo has an extension arm fitted. The maximum length you can achieve without fowling the hull.

The sheet (cord) from the sail boom is connected to the end of the servo extension via a fixed point. I have used a screw eye on my boats.

The length of the sheet should be adjustable at the sail end to allow for trimming the yacht.

More experienced yachties may well give better advice.

Larry

I'm no technical illustrator but perhaps the attached drawing will make things a little clearer. The drawing show the arrangement for the mainsail. The bowsie is used to adjust the length of the sheet and thus the travel of the sail. For a jib, the sheet is attached at the end nearest the mast. Both main and jib can be controlled from the same servo. It will take a little experimenting to get the right sheet lenghts for each sail.
